To provide our customers with products or services that we believe may meet your financial needs, we may exchange limited nonpublic personal information (described under the "Information We Share" section of this statement) about you to nonaffiliated firms that conduct marketing services on our behalf, or with financial institution partners to offer jointly endorsed financial products or services.

How We Protect Your Information

We understand that the protection of your nonpublic personal information is of the utmost importance.  Guarding your privacy is our obligation.  Home Federal maintains strict procedures and policies to safeguard your privacy.  We restrict employee access to customer information to only those who have a business reason to know such information, and we educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and consumer privacy.

Giving You the Power to Choose

To continue providing you with the best possible service and offering you a vast array of financial products that we believe may be of interest to you, we reserve the right to share nonpublic personal information with our nonaffiliated third party partners as allowed by law.  If you determine that you do not want Home Federal to share your nonpublic personal information with our nonaffiliated third party partners (except under limited circumstances allowed by law), you may "Opt Out" by calling us at 1-800-658-3183.  If you have a joint account, each account holder may make a separate choice to "Opt Out", but any account holder can "Opt Out" on behalf of the other joint account holders.

Under existing law, Home Federal may share information relating to your account application and other information received from third parties (such as credit bureaus) with any Home Federal affiliate.  You may request that such information not be disclosed to our affiliates by contacting us at the phone number listed above.  It is important to note that transactional and experiential information (such as account transactions, balance and payment history) with a customer can be shared among affiliates and others as permitted by federal law.

Home Federal may amend this policy at any time, and we will inform you of changes as required by law.

Internet Privacy

We do not collect personal identifying information about those who are merely visiting our web site.

When our web site is accessed to apply for accounts or services, visitors may be asked to provide online personal information that is necessary for us to process applications or to otherwise provide the services requested.  To ensure that information submitted online remains confidential, all information is transmitted by means of secure connection using encryption (visit our Home Federal Security section).  We, and the companies with which we work, may maintain the information provided to us in order that we can meet additional financial needs.

Customers often communicate with us by use of e-mail.  In order to efficiently respond to e-mail communications and to meet legal and regulatory requirements, we will preserve the text of any visitor's e-mail, the e-mail address and our response.  Information submitted to us by e-mail is treated as confidential and used only where appropriate for business purposes.

To make a web site as efficient as possible to online visitors and customers, some web sites use “cookies” as part of their interaction with browsers.  A “cookie” is a small text file placed on the visitor’s hard drive by a web site server.  “Cookies” are used to determine if visitors have previously visited the web site and for administrative purposes.  Home Federal’s web site (including online banking) does not use “cookies”.  However, some of the links you click to from Home Federal’s web pages may utilize “cookies”.

Email Privacy Notice

Email is not a secure transmission route.
