At Home Federal, protecting the privacy and confidentiality
of your personal information is important to our Board of Directors,
Management and Employees. We value your business and the trust
you put in Home Federal. To offer you the financial products and
services you seek, we collect, maintain and use information about you
on a routine basis. To help you better understand how your
personal information is protected here at Home Federal, we are
providing you with the following statement describing our practices
and policies with respect to the privacy of customer
information. In the event you terminate your customer
relationship with us, or become an inactive customer, we will continue
to adhere to the policies and practices described in this notice.
Information We Collect
As a trusted financial institution, we collect, retain and use
nonpublic personal information about individual customers to provide
products and services to our customers. We may collect nonpublic
personal information about you from such sources as:
Who Receives Information & Why
We may exchange information with our affiliates and certain
nonaffiliated third parties (under limited circumstances) to the
extent permissible under law to service your account, offer products
or services we believe you may find valuable, report to credit
bureaus, manage risk and perform other financial services related
activities.
Service Providers/Joint Marketing Partners
To provide our customers with products or services that we
believe may meet your financial needs, we may exchange limited
nonpublic personal information (described under the "Information
We Share" section of this statement) about you to nonaffiliated
firms that conduct marketing services on our behalf, or with financial
institution partners to offer jointly endorsed financial products or
services.
How We Protect Your Information
We understand that the protection of your nonpublic personal
information is of the utmost importance. Guarding your privacy
is our obligation. Home Federal maintains strict procedures and
policies to safeguard your privacy. We restrict employee access
to customer information to only those who have a business reason to
know such information, and we educate our employees about the
importance of confidentiality and consumer privacy.
Giving You the Power to Choose
To continue providing you with the best possible service and
offering you a vast array of financial products that we believe may be
of interest to you, we reserve the right to share nonpublic personal
information with our nonaffiliated third party partners as allowed by
law. If you determine that you do not want Home Federal to share
your nonpublic personal information with our nonaffiliated third party
partners (except under limited circumstances allowed by law), you may
"Opt Out" by calling us at 1-800-658-3183. If you have
a joint account, each account holder may make a separate choice to
"Opt Out", but any account holder can "Opt Out" on
behalf of the other joint account holders.
Under existing law, Home Federal may share information relating to
your account application and other information received from third
parties (such as credit bureaus) with any Home Federal
affiliate. You may request that such information not be
disclosed to our affiliates by contacting us at the phone number
listed above. It is important to note that transactional and
experiential information (such as account transactions, balance and
payment history) with a customer can be shared among affiliates and
others as permitted by federal law.
Home Federal may amend this policy at any time, and we will inform
you of changes as required by law.
