01/05/04 - Browser Requirement

Qualified versions of browsers for Bank@Home include Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2, Internet Explorer 6.0 and Netscape version 6.x.  All browsers should include 128-bit encryption.  Some of our customers may be required to update to a more current browser version.  Browser updates are available from Microsoft and Netscape.

bulletIf you receive an error message stating that there is a problem with the certificate but it is from a trusted authority, the date is valid and the name does not match the name on the site:  Select yes to proceed and the certificate will be updated in most cases.

bulletIf you receive the message "Unable to obtain secure connection":  Update the browser to Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 or above or Netscape 6.x. with 128 bit encryption.

bulletIf you receive the message "The validity period of the certificate exceeds that of its certification authority," you will need to download a patch from Microsoft called "Root Certificates Update."  This can be completed by pointing your browser to the Microsoft link above and selecting Windows Update, then Product Updates, then find and select the Root Certificates Update and select Download.  A confirmation screen will be displayed, verify Root Certificates Update is selected and select Start Download.
